The house stands in La Moraleja, a suburb of Madrid known for its large villas set among trees and native undergrowth.
The plot slopes, and the slope is used to hide the house in the landscape. The most private rooms form a refuge close to the ground, while the open spaces face south-west, towards the city of Madrid a few kilometres away.
The whole house is organised around a circular courtyard, under a roof that radiates from its centre.
